How To Burn A CD On An Apple MacBook?

Burn A CD On An Apple MacBook
MacBooks users should know the basic task of CD burning. If you are a new Apple MacBook user and don’t know how to do it then you have reached the right platform. You can follow the basic guidelines provided by Apple Repair Centre to burn a Compact Drive on a MacBook or other Macintosh PC. Firstly you need to obtain blank CDs as told by professionals.
  • Professionally burned CDs (like audio CDs) can’t be written over due to their special procedures of being burned. CD burning is generally done with a recordable CD-R disc, but if you drive supports it, you can use CD-RWs instead.
  • Click the Apple Logo in the left corner of the screen to check whether or not your drive can support CD-RWs. Select the ‘Storage’ tab in the popup that appears and all of the CD/DVD formats your Mac’s optical drive can burn show at the bottom of the window. You are set if it says CD-R or CD-RW.
  • Prepare the files you want to burn. If you desire to burn an audio CD then open iTunes or whichever music playing software in use.
  • In case of burning a date or picture C, go to the location of the files you wish to burn in finder.
Steps to burn an Audio CD in iTunes:
  1. From the Apple iTunes “File” Menu, click on “New Playlist”.
  2. Enter a name from the list and hit Enter.
  3. You need to drag the songs you wish to appear on the CD into the playlist. Songs can be in any format but to preserve the high-quality, lossless audio found on the original disc, it is suggested that the original files be ripped to Apple lossless /AIFF format.
  4. At the bottom of the playlist window, click the “Burn CD”.
  5. Now, into your PC’s disk drive, insert a blank CD-R/CD-RW.
  6. Click on “Burn CD” another time.
  7. Wait for the burn to take its time and finish as it can take a couple of minutes.
Steps to burn a data CD in Finder:
  1. Into Mac’s optical drive, insert a blank CD.
  2. Move or copy all files to a CD to a dedicated “burn” folder that you wish to burn. It simplifies the process of burning certain files to a folder.
  3. Open the folder in its own window, pull down the “File” menu and choose “Burn”.
